Elopement

El Matador Beach, Malibu

When presented with the option to reschedule their wedding for a second time due to COVID restrictions, Tracey & Jack decided to cancel the whole thing and elope in Malibu instead.

It’s hard to know if you’re doing the right thing when doing a complete 180 on the most important day of your life. From 100+ guests to 10, we felt just as much love, shared just as many hugs and had more adventure outdoors than we would have in a venue.

Surrounded by their immediate family, Tracey & Jack tied the knot tucked in the cliffside at El Matador Beach in Malibu, California. Huddled together to hear over the waves crashing in the background, they exchanged their vows as the sun set in the distance.

After cupcakes and champagne, their family left and we had the beach to ourselves. We climbed rocks, jumped waves and added 30 pounds of saltwater & sand to Tracey’s dress. With the sand between their toes and Malibu’s sky on fire behind us, Tracey turned to me with a huge smile on her face and expressed her gratitude for choosing an intimate, adventurous day instead.

When in doubt, choose whatever feels most like you and chase the adventure!
