Engagement

God’s Thumb, Oregon

I planned Alli & Matt’s engagement session to overlap with my roadtrip from San Diego to Seattle. Hiking God’s Thumb has been on my bucket list for a while so when they decided to have their engagement session there, I couldn’t have said yes quicker!

We lucked out with a clear day after experiencing five days straight of constant downpour. With our hiking boots laced and outfits in stored in backpacks, we started hiking through inches of steep mud.

Alli and Matt don’t identify as the outdoorsy type and don’t hike often but they realized they made the right decision when we reached the thumb and the expansive Oregon coast appeared on the horizon. With the entire cliff to ourselves, we climbed to the tip of the cliff and watched the sun set over the Oregon coast.

With perfect timing, we got back to our cars as day turned to night. Another hiking adventurous engagement session in the books!
